Rusholme is our closest neighbour. Half a mile west, one road most of the way, and near enough that most people walk it without thinking about it.

It’s also where a lot of our brides have already spent their Saturday. The outfit, the dupatta, the fabric and the jewellery nearly all get bought on or around Wilmslow Road, and that tends to happen months before anyone gives the hair a thought. Half a mile. A walk for most people and barely a drive. Slade Lane comes off Anson Road, and Anson Road takes you straight back down to Wilmslow Road.

Can I come straight here from a fitting on Wilmslow Road?

Yes, and it helps if you do. Bring the outfit or a good photo of it, the dupatta, and any hair jewellery you have already bought. Seeing the real colours next to your face changes what we suggest. It’s far easier than trying to describe it to us afterwards.

How far ahead should a Rusholme bride book a trial?

As far ahead as you can, and certainly once the outfit is settled. A trial is where we work out what your hair will actually hold, and if the answer isn’t what you hoped, there’s still time to do something about it. We photograph the trial so nobody has to remember it on the morning.

Do you do makeup as well as hair for Asian bridal?

Both, on the same morning, in the same chair. That’s the whole point of booking it here. Hair and makeup done by people who are in the same room means the two are planned together instead of one being worked around the other.
